Bar tender was amazing! He knows so much about cocktails. We had the pineapple upside down margarita, what a treat! The live music was terrific! . Matt Felix sang and played guitar. Highly recommend this place!

An outstanding 10/10 experience! After a cross-country journey, I can confidently declare that THE THIRSTY LIZARD is, without a doubt, the most exceptional place we've ever visited. My husband and I, originally from Wisconsin, have been on the hunt for a new favorite spot, akin to our cherished place back home. The Thirsty Lizard surpassed our expectations in every aspect - from the impeccable service and delectable food to the breathtaking 360-degree views. My husband savored the Dragon Burger with its tantalizing Dragon Sauce, while I indulged in the Cheesy Explosion Burger, complete with lettuce, tomato, and a side of Lizard Sauce. We couldn't resist sharing a half-portion of the most heavenly fries we've ever tasted. Upon arrival, our designated server was momentarily unavailable, and another staff member graciously attended to us. Given our recent move to Bisbee earlier in the morning, we weren't in a hurry and communicated our patience. As we awaited our order outside, we had the delightful opportunity to meet the talented chef. Upon returning indoors, we were treated to a meal that redefined our culinary expectations. The cheese-drenched burger left me spellbound - as someone hailing from Wisconsin, I've been on a quest for cheese that rivals my hometown, and this burger certainly soared above. Our outdoor interlude allowed us to engage further with our friendly server, who was genuine and welcoming, as were the departing patrons we encountered. Meeting the owner, David, was an added pleasure during our time outside. The cuisine was an absolute delight, coupled with warm and affable interactions with the staff. Exploring the establishment's future plans only deepened our affection for the place. My husband and I have unequivocally decided that The Thirsty Lizard is our forever haven. Anticipation for our return is already building - we can hardly wait to experience more!

This is a local bar and grill in a rural area, but a short drive to Bisbee. We had great interactions with the staff and other customers who were all very nice and seemed like they genuinely liked being there :-) We were in awe of the bottoms up tap, which we'd never seen. They serve food (we didn't have any) but the burger I saw being served to a customer looked delicious. It's a spacious bar with plenty of seating, pool table, shuffle board table, and lots of board games. It looks like they have live music too. If you find yourself in McNeal, AZ or nearby, stop off and enjoy!

Great bartenders, wonderful patrons, good food & drinks to boot! We tried the fried chicken sandwich, EXTRA PICKLES, also veggie balls all was very tasty.

It is worth the drive! Mondays are a great day for specials! My friends and I had excellent food and service. Enjoyed a nice evening of drinks, great hamburgers, lizard tails and a fireplace! The Jukebox was awesome! David created excellent plates. Randy was friendly, along with his counterpart to serve the best food on Friday! It made for a great start to the weekend! Thank you, it was a great evening of great food, drinks and service! Team Rocket is the fanclub and supports this business 100%!!!!!

Amazing. Drinks were great. Burgers were amazing, with a ton of options. Very spacious, with a friendly staff.

I disagree with previous negative reviews. I just came here in hopes that these guys served breakfast! I saw a prior review and couldn't help but to add one myself. We only tried a couple fried things, the mushrooms and onions and they were fantastic! Freshly made and fried perfectly. Their burgers are off the charts! And yes, they upcharge for everything. But, everything is premium stuff, not off the shelf normal sauces - and they are delicious! If you like to explore new sauces, this is the place to go! The two guys that own it, pretty much run the whole place on their own, with occasional help with additional staff. They are busy, not chatty. It's a bar, though, say hi...ask them their names. You will quickly find out that they are very passionate about their food and drinks and that comes first. They are extremely friendly and enjoyable to talk to, if you give them a chance to do their job first. Their staff is the exact same way. When I dine out, I expect good food and good service. Good service to me is cut the chit chat and get to work if it means getting better food faster, then if you have time to be "friendly," I'm the most chatty person ever. (Probably obvious at this point) Also, keep in mind when you visit this place and think that it's expensive, well it is compared to you average bar. If the way higher than average quality doesn't speak for itself, take a step outside and look around you. These guys are in the middle of the desert. How can they generate an income hiring more staff or giving away for free what makes them special? This place is great. We travel the country full time and look for hidden gems like this. You'd be mistaken to not give this place a try!
